Lion Mountain Charity Foundation Inc. needs you. We need all the help we can get. It is not too late to be involved in a noble cause. Help us in finding donors and participate in our fund raising activities and awareness campaigns. Together, we really can make a difference.
The Lion Mountain Charity Foundation, Inc. is seeking all medical personnel including Doctors, Nurses, Respiratory Therapist, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Case Managers, Social Workers, Radiologist, X-Ray technicians, Lab technicians, Paramedic and Certified Nursing Assistants.
Volunteers have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of work including educational treatment and training for the people of Sierra Leone and its neighboring countries that have under-privileged backgrounds, HIV/AIDS counseling and medical/health volunteering. Through this program, volunteers will have a chance to make a personal contribution and connection to the people of Sierra Leone.
Qualifications are as follows:
- 18 years or older
- Have no major health problems
- Medical qualification for the Medical/Health program
- Related experience for the HIV/AIDS program
- Eligible to obtain a tourist visa to Sierra Leone
- Police Check/Clearance from your home country prior to volunteering
In the Lion Mountain Charity Foundation, Inc., volunteer doctors, nurses and all health care personnel are encouraged to share their skills to co-employees and to the people we serve. Volunteers have the opportunity to work in areas of general medical practice, maternal health, minor and major surgeries and laboratory work.
Volunteers will be working together in performing major and basic medical procedures such as surgical procedures, writing prescriptions, giving out medicine and attending to the patients. This role is suitable for self-directed and caring people who are medically qualified. This program is open to all volunteers worldwide. Typically participants work in groups of 10-20. Typical language in Sierra Leone is English and sixteen other native languages.
